Elizabeth Halen, owner-operator of Condiment PHL, willl discuss all things dry rub, marinate, and summertime grillin'. Learn how to perfectly season and marinate your favorite grilling meats and veggies with some home-made easy to do recipes. As an added treat, Elizabeth will demonstrate proper canning & jarring methods in a hands on workshop. Take your new found skills home with you and practice with items you choose from the City Kitchen Pickle Bar! With a variety of fresh ingredients provided from the Reading Terminal Market to choose from and all of the tools and spices you will need to create your very own pickled veggies. Caution: once you've gone homemade, store-bought will never taste the same.

This class is scheduled to be held in City Kitchen. However if the scenario arises that the CDC will re-enforce social distancing again over the time frame of this scheduled date, this class will be lead by the culinary expert virtually at the same time and date. Participants of this class will receive a delivery to their home the morning of the class with all of the essential ingredients to participate virtually from the comfort of your home
