Chef Careda is taking her knowledge of American and Caribbean cooking and fusing them together for this exciting and flavorful brunch. 

The demonstration will start off sweet with "fried festival", a delicious Caribbean-style hushpuppy. Careda will also be preparing green bananas and cornmeal porridge with cinnamon, sugar and fresh vanilla and nutmeg.  No brunch is complete without a savory element. An authentic Caribbean green vegetable dish called callaloo will be paired with a sauteed codfish topped with plum tomatoes, onions and bell peppers.

Schools will be in session, but this crave-worthy, Caribbean class will help extend that summer feeling! 

City Kitchen is BYO beer, wine and champagne.
